Contents and added value
The IFAH-Europe’s conference will explore and debate the overall availability of veterinary medicines in the EU, the contribution of innovation to this, and what this means for the health and welfare of animals, and a sustainable and safe food supply. It will provide an opportunity for the European animal health industry to discuss these topics in light of the progress of the proposed EU legislative packages on veterinary medicines and medicated feed with key EU decision-makers, national regulators, opinion leaders, other animal health professionals and different interested parties.

Why animal health matters: a session covering case studies and a panel discussion on the following aspects:

  • zoonoses,
  • viruses,
  • climate change and animal health (vector-borne diseases),
  • the animal health industry as part of the solution,
  • Commission’s animal health policy.

Will the legislation deliver: a session explaining and discussing the following points:

  • the review of the veterinary medicines and medicated feed legislation,
  • the Slovak Presidency’s agenda,
  • DG SANTE’s perspective on the legislative reviews,
  • the animal health industry’s views.
