RSPB Telegraph Nature of Farming Award
The RSPB Telegraph Nature of Farming Award is the UK’s biggest farm wildlife competition, and a brilliant way to spread the word about the vital work that many farmers are doing for nature. Back in April, we helped the RSPB with a call for entries, and now that call has been answered, with four finalists needing your votes for the award.
We’re pleased to say that out of the four finalists, both Peter Knight, Norfolk Estate, and Rob Allen, Upton Estate, are LEAF members (and Upton Estate is LEAF Marque certified too). Of course, we would love to have another LEAF member win this year.
Last year, LEAF members Somerset and Carolyne Charrington were announced winners of the award and LEAF members also came out on top in the regional finals, including our Vice Chairman, Rob Kynaston winning in Shropshire. The award gained a lot of momentum last year, with lots of media coverage and twitter activity, resulting in 22,000 people taking part and voting!
Now’s the time to vote for your favourite, and we hope that will be either Peter or Rob! You can read more about the awards on the RSPB website here.
LEAF’s President’s Event is on the 14th November this year. Need a reminder? Add the event to your diary by downloading the iCal file.
